The Problem We Set Out to Solve
For years, European merchants had to navigate a fragmented payment landscape shaped by card schemes, wallets, bank transfers, and local payment methods. Transactions were often expensive, settlement could take days, and fraud and chargebacks remained a constant burden.
Net Money was established to fix that. We built a secure and fully automated account-to-account payment platform from scratch. One that not only abstracts away the complexity of all European banks and handles SCA flows natively, but also one that settles via SEPA Instant on the same day.
We want to make account-to-account payments the default payment method across Europe, replacing cards with something faster, cheaper, and built on open standards.

Dr. Simon Lichte is Vice President Open Banking at Net Digital AG. With more than a decade of experience in payments and product design, he focuses on building the next generation of account-to-account payment infrastructure across Europe. He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Paderborn.
